Cabarete's trade winds typically build through the morning and are strongest in the early afternoon — locals plan their day around it: surf at sunrise, kite or wing foil once the wind picks up around 2pm.

The Spot and El Canal are walkable from the lodge (10-12 minutes). Encuentro is a 10-minute walk east. Kite Beach is a 12-minute drive or short taxi/moto ride — we can arrange transport at the front desk.
